Best Games of 2024

Based on critic scores and popularity, the top games of 2024 are Helldivers 2, Balatro, and V Rising. Most 2024 games have been out for a while now, so many of them are already much cheaper than at launch.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was one of the year's best surprises, Metaphor: ReFantazio brought the makers of Persona to a brand-new fantasy world, and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth took its crew to Hawaii. Frostpunk 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 were huge too - and Black Ops 6 launched straight into Xbox Game Pass.

Nine Sols is a hand-drawn action platformer with some of the best parry combat around, Pacific Drive is a strange survival game where your car is your only shelter, and Still Wakes the Deep is a short, intense horror story on a 1970s oil rig in the North Sea.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink lets four players hunt giant monsters together, The Outlast Trials turns horror into a co-op nightmare for up to four players, and Last Epoch is an action RPG you can play online with friends. For more games to play together, see our Co-op Games list.
