Frequently asked questions about Xbox Game Pass
Which games are leaving Game Pass soon?
The games leaving Game Pass next are Deep Rock Galactic, Wartales, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Microsoft usually announces departures a couple of weeks ahead, and this page updates every day.
What happens to my progress when a game leaves Game Pass?
Your save files usually stay in the cloud, so if you buy the game later, you can pick up where you left off. Until you buy it, though, you will not be able to play once it leaves the catalog.
Should I buy a game before it leaves?
If you still want to play it, yes - and it is worth comparing prices first. Game Pass members often get a discount on catalog games in the Microsoft Store, but key shops can be even cheaper. Every game page shows all current offers side by side.
Which games are coming to Game Pass instead?
New games join every month. See Coming to Xbox Game Pass for the next announced additions, Recently Added to Xbox Game Pass for the newest games, and Xbox Game Pass for the full catalog.
