Best Games of 2021

Based on critic scores and popularity, the top games of 2021 are Forza Horizon 5, It Takes Two, and Resident Evil Village. Most 2021 games have been out for years now, so many of them are very cheap.

Far Cry 6 took the series to a tropical island, Deathloop mixed stylish shooting with a time loop mystery, and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade brought the remake to PC. Little Nightmares II continued its creepy, beautiful adventure, and Chivalry 2 delivered huge medieval battles with up to 64 players.

Inscryption is a card game that turns into something much stranger, Road 96 sends you on a road trip where every ride tells a new story, The Forgotten City is a time loop mystery set in an ancient Roman city, and Loop Hero mixes roguelike runs with building your own path. Death's Door is a charming action adventure about a crow who reaps souls.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a huge, deep RPG full of choices, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut added full voice acting to one of the best written games ever, and Wildermyth tells a new story every time you play. For more great stories, see our Story-Rich Games list.
